Bonett Group became the main gas supplier for Prague Castle and Lány Castle. The company won the contract in an auction on the Prague Energy Exchange (PXE). The group is 100 percent owned by Czech capital and was originally known as a supplier of alternative fuels. After its success in the field of alternative fuels, it expanded its activities to supply natural gas and electricity for industrial production and heating.
Natural gas deliveries in a total volume of 20 GWh are directed to two large-scale consumption points, specifically to Prague Castle and Lány Castle, which also falls under the Prague Castle Administration. The gas is further directed to 15 small off-take points. The Bonett Group won the contract at the PXE auction based on the best price offered.
"Winning the contract from Prague Castle is a great honor for us and at the same time a confirmation that we are moving in the right direction. We want to become a strong player in the field of energy distribution, and at the same time we emphasize a personal approach and reducing the ecological burden in our country," says Václav Holovčák, Board Member of the Bonett Group.
"The lowest price offered is a key parameter for selecting a contractor in a similar public contract. However, like any customer, we also look at the quality of the service delivered and the related service. The cooperation so far has been running smoothly," says Pavel Vyhnánek, Director of the Prague Castle Administration.
As a licensed trader, Bonett Energie offers natural gas and electricity supplies to medium and large B2B entities. Both public and private institutions that use natural gas to heat their facilities, typically municipalities, universities, hospitals, industrial parks and others. Thanks to the possibilities of using underground storage tanks and access to European commodity exchanges, the group guarantees secure supplies throughout the contracted period.
Bonett Group can also deliver all supplies in biomethane quality. It is a gas of 100 percent organic origin, which is produced by the decomposition of organic substances. In terms of technology and distribution, biomethane and natural gas are identical and do not require any modifications to the gas infrastructure or appliances. Today, the group is one of the major carbon footprint reducers in the Czech Republic and offers ESG companies the opportunity to reduce their emission footprint from the use of natural gas by 10 to 100 percent.
The Bonett Group is certified in the ISCC system. It joined the Czech and German commodity exchanges, which allows it to buy directly on the market without intermediaries. It is authorized to provide physical supplies of biomethane or transfer guarantees of origin (GoO) to reduce the emissions of industrial parks, operations or buildings.
